Manufacturer’s Description
The Arex Rex Zero 1 Compact is a semiauto pistol built on a 7075 aircraft aluminum alloy frame with a machined chromolly steel slide, and chambered in 9mm, 9x21mm, .40 SW or .32 ACP. Other features include:
- A modified Browning short recoil operating mechanism on all calibers but .32 ACP, which is blowback operated;
- an internal extractor;
- a hammer-fired, double-action/single-action trigger with a 5.5 lb. pull and 3mm reset in single-action mode, and a long 13 lb. double-action pull;
- a left-side, dual-purpose slide stop/decocker;
- an ambidextrous magazine release button;
- a firing pin/drop safety;
- an ambidextrous manual thumb safety;
- a loaded chamber indicator;
- a cold hammer-forged chromolly steel barrel (a threaded barrel is optional);
- a lightly textured grip (dots);
- vertical grip grooves on the frontstrap and backstrap;
- a nitro carburizing finish on the slide and barrel;
- a hard anodized finish on the frame with three color options: black, green and flat dark earth;
- an accessory rail;
- a large trigger guard for shooters with gloves on;
- an iron, dovetailed white dot front sight;
- an iron, dovetailed, two white-dot rear sight;
- a left-side disassembly lever;
- front and rear cocking serrations on the slide;
- two magazines;
- a polymer case;
- a cable padlock; and
- a cleaning kit.
Arex, which is based in Slovenia, also offers full-size and combat versions of this pistol. The FIME Group imports the full-size version into the United States.
