Manufacturer’s Description

The Coonan Compact .357 Magnum Automatic is a 1911-style semiauto pistol built on a stainless steel frame and chambered in .357 Magnum. It fires standard .357 Magnum ammo, and it’s recoil operated. Other features include:

The Compact .357 Magnum Automatic from the right.
The Compact .357 Magnum Automatic with the stainless finish.
  • A linkless bull barrel;
  • an extended slide catch and thumb lock for one-handed operation;
  • a full-length guide rod;
  • an 18 lb. recoil spring;
  • a red nylon case with an embroidered logo; and
  • a 3/16″ wrench and a spring plug retainer.

You can get the Compact with a stainless steel finish with fixed white-dot sights and smooth walnut grips, or a black duracoat finish with fixed serrated night sights and fully checkered black aluminum grips.

  1. I owned a full size Model B and loved it! I always wanted to get both! I really wanted to get a full size and mount the smaller slide on it an comp the barrel. The little one is going to be a pocket rocket!

  2. I have a Coonan Classic a very very accurate hang gun I have ever had ,I also have a Hammerli P240 .38 WC known
    for its high standard of manufacture and very accurate, the coonan is just behind ,the coonan will stay with me for very long time,
