The IO Hellcat II is a subcompact semiauto pistol built on an aluminum frame with a polymer body and chambered in .380 ACP. IO says the internal frame is built from T6 aircraft aluminum and CNC machined in-house at the company’s North Carolina plant, and then anodized. The slide is also machined in-house out of a solid 4140 steel, 1″x1″ billet, and then hardened through induction heat-treatment to ensure proper Rockwell hardness. Available slide finishes include nickel and blue.
IO says the Hellcat II includes several improvements to the original Hellcat pistol, including a re-engineered extractor and an upgraded barrel supplier.
Other features include:
- An alloy steel barrel;
- a single-strike double action trigger;
- fixed front and rear sights;
- an enclosed hammer; and
- checkered grips.
IO says this pistol comes with a lifetime warranty.
