Manufacturer’s Description

Ruger‘s SR1911 Commander is a 1911-style semiauto pistol built on a stainless steel frame and chambered in .45 ACP. Features include:

  • A classic, Series 70 design;
  • an oversized ejection port;
  • an extended magazine release;
  • hardwood grips;
  • a checkered backstrap;Ruger SR1911 Carry right
  • an aluminum, skeletonized trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop;
  • a skeletonized hammer;
  • dovetailed three-dot sights with a Novak LoMount Carry adjustable rear sight;
  • an oversized beavertail grip safety;
  • an extended thumb safety and slide stop;
  • an integral plunger tube (not staked);
  • a standard recoil guide system;
  • a flat mainspring housing;
  • a visual inspection port so you can check its load status;
  • a low-glare finish on the frame and stainless steel slide;
  • rear slide serrations on the slide;
  • a titanium firing pin;
  • two stainless steel magazines;
  • a bushing wrench; and
  • a soft case.
