Summary: The description, specs, photos, pricing and user ratings for the SIG Sauer 1911 Spartan pistol.
SIG Sauer’s 1911 Spartan is a full-size, 1911-style semiauto pistol chambered in .45 ACP and built on a steel frame with a steel slide. It features the famous historical phrase “ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ” in the same script that appears on the monument at Thermopylae in Greece in remembrance of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. The ancient Greek phrase means “come and get them,” which is what Sparta’s King Leonidas I reportedly said to an emissary from Persian ruler Xerxes when the emissary asked the Greeks to lay down their weapons.
The 1911 Spartan also sports an oil-rubbed bronze nitron finish on the slide and frame, 24kt gold inlay engraving and Hogue custom Spartan grips.
Other features include low-profile night sights.
