Manufacturer’s Description
The Sphinx SDP Subcompact is a semiauto chambered in 9mm and built on a two-piece frame with a double-action/single-action trigger. This pistol is reportedly based on CZ 75-type pistols. The “SDP” stands for Special Duty Pistol.
Sphinx says the upper frame or dust cover is made from aeronautic grade, hard-anodized aluminum with Teflon inserts to reduce wear. The lower part of the frame or grip is made from a proprietary polymer.
Features include:
An iron blade front sight with a white dot;
a serrated, u-shaped rear sight;
a double-action/single-action trigger;
an ambidextrous decocking lever or manual safety;
a steel slide with a black TIAIN coating;
a reversible magazine release;
Options include a lanyard, Defiance tritium sights and a threaded barrel.
