Manufacturer’s Description
The Springfield Armory Champion pistols are 1911-A1 style semiautos built on a full-size frame with a 4″ shortened barrel and slide for concealability. Chambered in .45 ACP, they are availble in two of Springfield’s Loaded models, an Operator model, and two GI 45 models.
The Loaded Stainless Steel model features:
- a forged stainless steel frame matte rounds and polished flats;
- a forged stainless steel slide with matte rounds and polished flats;
- a 4″ stainless steel, fully supported bull barrel;
- a dual spring and full-length guide rod recoil system;
- low-profile three-dot tritium sights;
- a beavertail grip safety;
- an extended ambidextrous thumb safety;
- a long aluminum match grade trigger;
- cocobolo grips; and
- two seven-round stainless steel magazines.
The Loaded Lightweight OD Green model features:
- a forged aluminum alloy frame with a hardcoat anodized olive drab finish;
- a forged steel matte-black slide;
- a 4″ stainless steel, fully supported bull barrel;
- a dual spring and full-length guide rod recoil system;
- low-profile three-dot tritium sights;
