Summary: The description, specs, photos, pricing and the average user rating for the Taurus 92 pistols.
Manufacturer’s Description
In 1980, Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and soon began producing pistols based on the Beretta 92 design. The Taurus 92 is chambered in 9mm and features a drop hammer and a forged ordnance-grade alloy frame designed to prevent cracking or allowing the slide to come off. Taurus offers it either with or without an accessory rail.
Other features include:
A three-position, frame-mounted ambidextrous safety, which is more secure than a slide mounted safety and allows for a classic single-action cocked-and-locked mode, as well as functioning as a DA decocking lever.
The blued 92.
fixed sights;
a loaded chamber indicator; and
two blue steel high-capacity magazines.
Available grips include checkered rubber, rosewood and mother of pearl. Available finishes include blue and stainless steel, and Taurus offers gold-highlighted controls as well.
You can buy this pistol with either a standard barrel or a threaded barrel.

This is a Brazilian clone of the Berreta92.I bought this 5 years ago and used it to qualify for my CCP.The pistol is quite accurate and my GF loves the idea of using 32 round mags instead of the factory 17’s. It’s easy to field strip and cleans up nicely.I have the 92AFS like one shown on the left but not the gaudy gold plate.A fine pistol and worth the money.It’s reliable and accurate.
I am very pleased with my Taurus 92-AF, the railed version with fixed front sight. It is a clone of the Beretta 92FS with the main exception being the safety is on the frame of the pistol instead of the rail. I prefer the Taurus to the Beretta and haven’t had a single issue in the first 200 rounds fired.
I’d give it 9.5, if it weren’t for the factory mags self ejecting after alittle while. Mec gar mags make the gun 100% reliable. Lots of ammo types and round counts tested

Of the several 9MM pistols I have and have had in the past I enjoy shooting this one the most.
