Manufacturer’s Description The Turnbull 1911 is a limited edition reproduction of the iconic 1911 true to the ones made in early 1913. Some features include: A forged slide with appropriate shape and style; sights with the proper size and shape; a barrel of correct external contour; a safety lock in the thin style, with a knurled undercut thumb-piece; a short, wide spur hammer with standard checkering; an early style slide stop; a lanyard loop, punch and saw cut magazine, finished in two-tone; hand-polishing in the same manner as an original early production vintage pistol; a period-correct Carbonia Charcoal Blueing on all parts; stamped United States Property as original; a circled Turning Bull trademark on left of slide behind serrations; early 1913 patent markings and Turnbull Mfg. Co. Bloomfield, NY slide address; 1911 U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps variations; and inspector’s marks from Doug Turnbull (Turnbull owner, founder) and Keith VanOrman (Turnbull president).
