Summary: The description, specs, photos and user ratings for the Zastava Arms CZ 999 Scorpion pistol.
Manufacturer’s Description
The Zastava Arms CZ 999 Scorpion is a semiauto pistol built on an aluminum alloy frame and chambered in 9mm. Like its predecessor, the CZ 99, the CZ 999’s features include:
A stamped steel slide;
dovetailed, white-dot sights;
an ambidextrous slide-catch/decocker;
an ambidextrous magazine release;
synthetic or wood grips;
a loaded chamber indicator; and
a blued finish.
This pistol differs from the CZ 99 in several ways, including a slightly different grip shape, a low-ammunition indicator (i.e., a pin that protrudes from the grip into shooter’s palm when only three or less rounds are left in the magazine), and a trigger mode selector. This selector allows shooters to choose between Pistol and Revolver mode. Pistol mode offers a standard DA/SA trigger. In Revolver mode, the hammer lowers automatically after each shot, making the pistol double-action-only (though of course you can cock the hammer manually to fire single-action). And the CZ 999 is slightly longer.
Note: This pistol is not related to Czechoslovakian manufacturer CZ’s line of pistols.
